The leadership of the Notable North Atlantic Region is committed to keeping mental health and emotional stability at the forefront of programming initiatives. Mental health functioning can greatly affect overall wellbeing, daily choices, and professional and personal relationships, with long lasting life consequences. The following article by Soror Kelly Moore, Psy.D., seeks to examine the current state of our nation’s mental health crisis, disparities of care for people of color, encourage self-care practices and proactive behavior towards seeking culturally relevant professional help.
